Brainstorming a new command option: library library { open [square] / close [square] / card [gridder] / ban [gridder] / borrow [amount] / return [amount] } Gridders may open a library on up to 42% of their squares (rounded up -- 1-4 sqs = 1 library, etc.). Each library will allow the gridder to borrow energy from gridders on neighboring squares. Gridders may issue library cards to neighborhood (the domain where the library is built) gridders which will allow cardholders to borrow and return energy at no energy cost. Borrowing energy from cardholders means the specified energy borrowed is returned at a rate of 7% (rounded down) of generated energy at happy hour or can be manually returned in specified amounts. Each borrow attempt from a non-cardholder costs 7 energy with 1:7 odds (or costs 1 energy with 1:42 odds?) and is repaid at a rate of 42% of generated energy at happy hour. What permutations did I miss?

I support a full wipe, as you well know. As much as I do not want to lose my time investment into the game, this is the most logical course of action. Those who took part in this exploit should not benefit from it, nor be punished for it, but there is no real definitive place to roll back to. Even without this exploit, embassies were pulling in money that players were not even aware of. Other basic changes could be implemented to make for an even better experience. Remove alliances, unless they behave like true alliances. Embassies should be allowed to be blocked. In regards to permanent squares and wizards, I would like to see them stay. However, permanent squares should have a limit on how much can be built on it, and there should be no way to wall with them. Furthermore, the limit to keep permanence should be lessened to a week, instead of a whole month. I see no problem with wizards as they are, especially if there will be a limit on how many farms and cities can be built on a permanent square.
